WebToSheets pulls a live quote for any ticker, including its price, change, day and 52-week ranges, and volume.

There is no need to write this by hand. Open the sidebar's Formula Builder, pick Yahoo Finance, and enter the ticker.
Pick Yahoo Finance and enter a ticker, and WebToSheets inserts the live quote into your sheet.

Choosing a supported URL

  • Page type: a quote page at /quote/<SYMBOL>.
  • Domains: finance.yahoo.com and country variants such as ca.finance.yahoo.com or uk.finance.yahoo.com.

A typical Yahoo Finance quote URL looks like this:

https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/AAPL

Choosing what to extract

WebToSheets exposes one selector for each field on the quote. For example, you may use the price selector for the latest trade, or 52w_high for the top of the 52-week range:

Tracking a price

To track a stock's price and daily move, you may pass the price and change_percent selectors:

=SCRAPE("https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/AAPL", "price,change_percent")

As you can see, WebToSheets returns the live price and percentage change across two columns:
