Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the WebToSheets website, Google Sheets add-on, API, and any related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by WebToSheets ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Definitions

  • "Account" means the user account you create to access the Service.
  • "Credit" means the unit of usage consumed each time the Service successfully scrapes a web page on your behalf.
  • "Add-on" means the WebToSheets Google Sheets add-on available through the Google Workspace Marketplace.
  • "User Content" means any data, formulas, selectors, or configurations you provide to the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

4. Permitted Use

The Service is provided to help you extract publicly available data from websites and import it into Google Sheets. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service, including the websites you scrape and the data you collect, complies with:

  • All applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations.
  • The terms of service of the websites you access through the Service.
  • Any applicable data protection and privacy laws, including the GDPR where relevant.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or to collect data in violation of any law.
  • Scrape personal data without a lawful basis for processing.
  • Attempt to circumvent any rate limits, security measures, or access restrictions imposed by us or by target websites.
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service without our prior written consent.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • Use the Service to send unsolicited communications or spam.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Share your account credentials with third parties or allow multiple individuals to use a single account.

6. Purchases and Credits

6.1 Credit Top-Ups

The Service is offered through prepaid Credits purchased as one-time payments of an amount you choose, subject to the minimum and maximum amounts shown at checkout. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal — you buy Credits when you choose to. The Credit rate is listed on our pricing page. Prices may change at any time; changes never affect Credits you have already purchased.

6.2 Payment

Payments are processed through our third-party payment provider (Stripe) via its hosted checkout pages. We never collect or store your payment card details. Each purchase is a single, one-time charge — we will never charge your payment method without you initiating a purchase.

6.3 Credits

Credits are consumed when the Service successfully returns data for a scrape request. Failed requests (page load errors, selector mismatches) do not consume Credits. Purchased Credits do not expire and remain available on your Account until used. Credit costs vary by site complexity as described on our pricing page.

6.4 Free Signup Credits

New accounts receive a one-time allocation of free Credits so you can try the Service without providing a payment method. Free Credits have no monetary value, are non-transferable, and may not be redeemed for cash. We reserve the right to adjust or withdraw this offer for new accounts at any time.

7. Refunds and Account Deletion

Since there is no subscription, there is nothing to cancel — simply stop purchasing Credits whenever you wish. Purchased Credits are non-refundable except where required by law. If you delete your Account, any remaining Credits are forfeited and will not be refunded. If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us within 30 days of the charge.

8. Data and Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

The Service acts as a conduit: scraped data is delivered directly to your Google Sheet and is held on our servers only in a short-lived cache (15 minutes by default, or the cache duration you configure), after which it is automatically deleted. We do not access, sell, or share the data you scrape.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, documentation, and branding, is owned by WebToSheets and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the Service except for the limited right to use it in accordance with these Terms.

You retain ownership of any User Content you provide to the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with Google Sheets and relies on Google's APIs. Your use of Google Sheets is governed by Google's own Terms of Service. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of any third-party service or website you access through the Service.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of data obtained through the Service. Website structures change frequently, and selectors may require updates.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WebToSheets shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WebToSheets and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

14. Modifications to the Service and Terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 9, 11, 12, 13, and 16) will survive.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, France.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and WebToSheets regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
